No, Gauhati University BSc admission takes place through the merit secured in the CUET entrance exam. Thus it is necessary to take those entrance exams to be eligible for admission into the BSc programme. Class 12 exam score only makes a candidate eligibile for BSc admission and does not secure direct admission into the university. Gauhati University admission are only finalised when candidates have paid some amount of the tuition fees.

The total tuition fee of Gauhati University BSc is INR 48,000 to 1.4 Lacs depending on the specialisation and the affiliated college chosen.
