In my experience, B.Sc animation and VFX are better than multimedia because it gives you updated time. It requires less efforts to study.

Yes you can apply for B.Sc. Animation and VFX course of Amity University Mumbai. The basic eligibility criteria is 12th only in any stream. The selection is based on 12th marks and Statement of purpose video (Please see Amity University Mumbai Prospectus).

B.Sc in Animation & VFX is a 3- year full-time undergraduate course in the discipline of Animation and Multimedia. The minimum eligibility for admission to the course is the successful completion of the 10+2 level of education from a recognized educational Board.
Eligibility for B.Sc in Animation & VFX
Candidates wishing to apply for the course need to fulfil the following minimum eligibility criteria:
1. 10+2 qualification in any stream, completed from a recognized educational Board.
