The basic eligibility criteria of B.Tech Biotechnology for JEE Main is given below. Eligibility : Passed qualifying examination (120+2) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject. The minimum aggregate marks required in 12th for getting admission in IITs, NITs and CFTIs are 75% for general and OBC candidates. The JEE Main 2021 is the best entrance gateway for getting admission in top Engineering colleges.

For IFS, you need to clear UPSC IAS exam. Your educational background does not matter for selection in IFS. People getting high rank who prefer IFS can easily get IFS cadre. You can choose biotechnology. Hyderabad University, government. City college, Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT). These are few notable colleges for B.Tech biotechnology. There are many other private and government colleges for B.Tech in Hyderabad.

Hello Afifa, When one talks of lateral admission in an engineering college, one assumes eligibility of Diploma holders or Science graduates in some of the states. For those students who have completed 12th, it's always admission in first year of four years engineering course. Hence you will not be eligible for lateral admission directly into second year of engineering but will be eligible for seeking admission in an engineering college in first year after following due process.
