Yes, candidates selected for the post of IBPS PO will be on probation for two years. During probation, the performance of candidates is assessed. They need to undergo training in the various branches. On successful completion of training, candidates are confirmed to the position of Probationary Officers. During the probation period, candidates are trained on various banking services. They are also required to undergo certain banking courses. The basic salary of IBPS PO is INR 48,480. IBPS PO prelims exam is conducted in four shifts -9 am to 10 am, 11.30 am to 12.30 pm, 2 pm to 3 pm, and 4 pm to 5 pm. IBPS PO Mains exam is conducted in two shifts- 9 am to 12.30 pm and 2 pm to 5.30 pm. The shift timings of the prelims and Mains exams are mentioned on the admit card. Candidates need to appear for the exam as per their shift timings. Candidates reporting late to the exam centre will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. IBPS PO prelims exam 2023 was conducted online on September 23 & 30 at around 100 cities spread throughout the country. The prelims exam consists of three sections-Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, and English Language. The duration of the test is 60 minutes with sectional timings of 20 minutes. The test paper carries a total of 100 objective-type questions. Candidates qualifying the prelims exam are called for the Mains exam.
