The Bankura Unani Institute of Engineering is a privately sponsored engineering college in West Bengal India providing undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses in engineering and technology discipline. It was established in 1998 as the first engineering college in the Bankura district. The college is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology and the All India Council approves all the programs for technical education.

The eligibility criteria at Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering (BUIE) are as follows:
Educational Qualification
Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.
Minimum marks: At least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate in the qualifying examination.

For admission to the B.Tech program, applicants have to pass the WBJEE entrance conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) or JEE Main conducted by CBSE.
