NIELIT Guwahati's BCA programme is open to those who have completed class 12 with a minimum 45% aggregate or who have earned a Diploma in engineering from an institution accredited by the AICTE.
Through its own online placements platform, NIELIT manages centralized placements. Efforts are underway to ensure that students receive appropriate job offers following their course completion. Students can submit their resumes and register for free on the NIELIT placements portal. The site also makes it easier for potential employers to review and choose resumes based on particular requirements and skill sets.

As per my research, the latest data of top recruiters available for NIELIT Itanagar is of the year 2019. In 2019, students passing DOEACC O Level courses from this college secured good placement opportunities. Some of the popular recruiting companies visiting the campus for hiring include ADP, Asian Paints, Axis Bank, Capital IQ, Data Monitor, India Bulls, Franklin Templeton, Infosys, Oracle, sify, Wipro, among others.

ICFAI University Meghalaya has an active placement cell that looks after the placements and internships of all the students. The top recruiters of ICFAI University Meghalaya in 2022 included leading companies such as Chilly Breeze, HDFC and CNOS. NIELIT Guwahati has provided placement portal, where students can register for free on the NIELIT placements portal and submit their CV. The portal also facilitates prospective employers to examine and select resumes on specific need and skillsets. BCA and M.Sc in computer Science both are preferred degree for getting IT jobs, but M.Sc is higher degree course than BCA so placement in M.Sc is more than BCA programme. Although the placement in BCA is also good, it all depend on the students capabilities and their interests. The University has not released the BCA placement data. At the UG level, the BTech placement details are out. During 2022 placements, 50 out of 140 BTech students were placed. Earlier, 20 out of 208 students were placed in the 2021 drive. The median package offered from 2020 to 2022 indicates an improving trend. Take a look at the below table depicting the Assam Don Bosco University placement trends for BTech:

If we talk about BCA course, then it's placement is good but less compared to other technical courses.
After finishing a BCA course, a student is qualified to apply for jobs such as software developer, computer programmer, network engineer, and software tester. BCA graduates can expect to earn INR 3-6 LPA in the commercial sector and INR 15,000-35,000 per month in the government sector.

I think according to the latest information, the highest package offered for BCA placements 2023 is 9.05 LPA. And average package is 4.03 LPA. Till now there are 100+ companies visited in this year. Some of the companies are genpact, hcl etc. Also Mass communication companies visited are nearly 150. And also recently one student got a internship with 1,10,000 . So in my opinion BCA placements are good at JIMS.

JIMS GIVE BETTER PLACEMENTN IN BOTH COURSES. BETTER PACAKGE MORE IN BCA IT IS AROUND 22 LAKH LPA.

The average package every year is 5 LPAs with various good job profiles like software developer, web developer, and data analyst.
