Calcutta Business School's infrastructure is very good. The faculty members are very knowledgeable and are always helpful. We have 4 depts. currently finance, operations, HR and marketing. Also, it is AICTE approved. Besides, it is a full-time PGDM course and the campus is beautiful and greenery is the top quality in terms of beauty.

Globsyn Business School will grab the first rank considering the list of tier- 2 B-schools.
According to me, BIBS will come second in that list.
Jadavpur University will be third.
IEM will be fourth.
NOTE- You have asked about tier-2 B-schools. That's why IIM Calcutta, IIFT, IISWBM, IMI and Army Institute of Management have been considered as tier-1 B-schools. MDI, Murshidabad will also make the list of tier 1 considering B-school outside Kolkata.

Hi Samaresh,
The good news is that you can definitely join BIBS with lower graduation percentage. But there is just 1 thing that I want to tell you, you have to perform really good in your interview when you go to join the institution. Do well in your interview that will be organised to evaluate you on the basis of communication and basic educational knowledge. So prepare for that and you are good to go. They don't judge any student by marks but they will check your personality and knowledge.
All the best.

Hi Puja. I am happy that you have put up this question. So, at BIBS we do have an HR department and we have a good faculty there as well. Placements are quite good for HR students and they also get to do their internship with great companies. You will have an ample of scope when you join BIBS. So don't worry about it. Be it HR, marketing or finance, you can rest assured that your money won't be wasted.

Hi Nidhi, to be honest you should be positive enough to crack a good company interview during placements because by that time you will be well groomed and a completely different person. So rather than giving you the minimum salary I would like to share with you our average package i.e Rs 3 lakhs. But this year it went upto Rs 5.5 lakhs till now. For international it's again quite higher. So keep your dreams big and work hard. Once you get admission in BIBS you will understand how rapidly you are changing as an individual. Have faith in yourself. All the best for your future.

Hi Amit,
Glad to hear from you. So my answer to your question would be an absolute yes! BIBS is doing phenomenally well for the recent years and if you go through the website, you will understand the type of companies that are coming in every year with a good package. You get a great exposure from here with the various events and interact with the best corporates in the city. Mentoring is again a great thing that I got from BIBS. So if you want to study in Kolkata, you should definitely keep BIBS in mind because it's worth your money. All the best to you. Have a great future.

Hi Rony,
I am glad to inform you that you will be eligible for all sorts of companies but for finance people, the companies are generally from the banking and finance sector. This I am telling you from my personal experience because these are the companies that generally hire MBA with a finance major. Hope I have answered your query. Take care.
