No, CUET is not required for BSc at IISER Berhampur. Candidates seeking admission under JEE channel should have qualified in the JEE (Advanced) in the year 2023, and should have a valid score in JEE Advanced to apply for BS and MS programme admission. Additionally, the university also conducts IISER Aptitude Test. Candidates wishing to enrol into Ph.D courses need to qualify NET/GATE/UGC-JRF/CSIR-JRF/DBT/ICMR/NET. It is mandatory for candidates to appear for a personal interview for admission to Ph.D courses offered by the university.

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Berhampur cutoff 2024 ranks for BS+MS Biological Sciences, Mathematics, Physical Science, and other BS+MS courses are same at 1990. The cutoff for IISER Berhampur are released round-wise and category-wise, and candidates who get a rank equal to or below the cutoff will be eligible to participate in the admission process. The cutoff marks for IISER Berhampur are released separately for candidates applying through different channels such as JEE Advanced, KVPY, and IISER aptitude test.

IISER Berhampur is a research institute and is not focused on placements. Its main motive is to build students for further research, mostly doing a Ph.D. Some students might opt for jobs in education. Chemistry students might look for a job in a pharma company but that's not the college's focus. On the other hand, IISER Kolkata also focuses on research and has a good placement record.
