Yes, BET (Biotechnology Eligibility Test) exam dates have been announced by the NTA. The application form was released on Feb 28 and the last date to apply is March 28, 2025. The BET 2025 application form correction window will open from March 30 to 31, 2025. The BET 2025 exam will be held on May 13, 2025 (10:00 am to 1:00 pm).

The National Testing Agency has released the BET 2025 application form on the official website. The mode of the application form is online. The last date to submit the BET 2025 registration form is March 28 (11:50 pm). Candidates must visit the official website and submit the application form before the due date.

  • Candidates must have completed a bachelor's (BE/BTech/MBBS) and master's (MSc/MTech/MVSc/MPharm/Integrated MSc/MTech) in any discipline of Life sciences or Biotechnology or any other allied areas of Biology. 
  • Applicants in the final year or awaiting the result of the final semester can also apply for the BET exam.
  • Candidates must have acquired a minimum qualifying percentage of 60% (for general, EWS, or OBC category) and 55% (for SC/ST/PwD category)

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the BET (Biotechnology Eligibility Test). BET is a national level entrance examination awarded for DBT-Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF) for pursuing research in frontier areas in Biotechnology.

The Numerical Reasoning section of the BET exam syllabus is based on the mathematics subject. The sections tests the candidates mathematical ability and reasoning. The important topics in this section include Number Series, Geometry, HCF and LCM, Averages, Profit and Loss, Mensuration, Trigonometry, Equations, Surds and Indices, Work, Time and Distance, Geometric Progressions, Logarithms, Time, Speed and Distance, Algebra, Quadratic and Linear Equations, Ratio and Proportions, Probability, etc.

According to the students who have already appeared for the BET exam, certainly the actual Bocconi Test is way more difficult than the mock tests. Someone may get 23 out of 25 in mock tests and practice, can score as low as 30 out of 50 in the actual test. The questions on the actual test are way more difficult and if combined with stress, student may end up getting low scores.

The BET syllabus is spread across three major sections, i.e. Verbal Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning and Inductive Reasoning. 

Verbal Reasoning section of the BET syllabus is about the English Language and the candidate's proficiency and hold on the language. It essentially covers topics of the English Language and Grammar. 

The Numerical Reasoning section of the BET syllabus covers all the topics of mathematics asked in management entrance exams. 

The Inductive Reasoning section of the BET exam tests the candidate's analytical abilities in a given scenario. It is largely logical and analytical reasoning
