Chandigarh University offers seats on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in graduation, whereas, Panjab university conducts an entrance exam for the same. All B.Sc courses have same scope, and it is only a matter of choice. B.Sc in Genetics is relatively new and it is slightly more in demand. But, pursue it only if you have interest in it.

You should start searching on internet you will find many companies hiring biochemistry candidates. The only problem is that starting salary is a bit low but no matters if you are interested and fine with it you should go for it. Good luck.
