Eligibility Of the Master of Science [M.Sc] (Anthropology):
The candidate must have passed B.Sc. (Hons) Anthropology with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised university. Those who have passed B.Sc. /B.A in Anthropology with 60% marks in aggregate from a recognised university are also eligible for M.Sc. Sc. Anthropology. Also, candidate with B.Sc. (H)/ B.Sc. (General)/ B.A. (H)/ B.A. (Pass) with Anthropology as one of the main subjects with 60% marks in aggregate from a recognised university can seek admission in this course. Another eligibility criteria is for M.Sc. Sc. Anthropology is B.Sc. (H) in Botany/ Zoology/ Geology or B.A. (H) in Sociology/ Psychology/ History or B.Sc. Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master's degree or equivalent examinations from universities/institutions recognised by UGC are eligible for this Test. The Backward Classes/Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ persons with disability (PWD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master's degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test. There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for test. The qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor only in the universities/ colleges situated in the Andhra Pradesh state from where they have cleared their SET. The candidates who have qualified earlier in APSET /UGC NET are not eligible to apply in the same subject they qualified.
