Of course, when you have been a biology student, you cannot opt for courses which demand or include Maths.
Moreover, you are interested in biology, you must aspire to become a doctor. Specialization is a thing for later. For now, if biology is the subject of your interest, you should prepare for medical entrance exam though the exam syllabus includes physics and chemistry as well and perhaps, all those tricky calculations. But, you will come across the Maths part in physics and chemistry only for entrance exams. In your graduation course, MBBS BDS or any other, you must worry about Maths.

Except NEET there are numerous medical entrance exams but they also include the list of private ones.
Some are:
1). AIIMS - All India Institute of Medical Sciences
2).JIPMER- Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research
3).DNB CET- Diplomate of National Board Centralized Entrance Test (conducted twice a year) and many more.
Apart from these, some universities conduct their own entrance exams but then they would come under private.

It doesn't matters in today's date whether a student is mediocre or topper because coming generation wants to pursue courses of their own interest. For your son, I'd say that let him complete his boards and let him decide the field of his interest. Generally people think that after doing 12th from bio stream the career options are either a doctor or a professor/teacher. But, that's not true. Since I, myself am from bio side I can tell you what confusions are created in one's mind after boards regarding career. Telling people that I've studied from 12th bio, people become judgmental and think that I must be continuing the medical study,
