Vishal, B.Tech Biotechnology has a very good scope in India but you have to remember that you must demonstrate good learning from your degree program. Unfortunately a very large number of students work only to get a degree and thus remain unemployed after completing their program.

Biotechnology is a branch where technology is combined with Biology for Research & Development. Biotechnology involves wide range of subjects such as Engineering, Genetics, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Chemistry. There are various applications of Biotechnology in fields such as animal husbandry, growth of vaccines and medicines, agriculture, pollution control, energy production and conservation, healing of prolonged disease and ecological conservation. It also helps in development of insecticides, fertilizers and quality of seeds.

Hi Gayathri,
After doing your B.Tech in Biotechnology, you can either choose to do a post graduate degree in the area of Biotechnology, if you are interested in Research. On the other hand you could also look into doing a management degree if you are looking at a Management post in the industry (eg Pharmaceutical Industry).
If you prefer to go down the technical research route, then you first need to get a post graduate degree –an M.Tech degree would be preferable. There are many universities that you could look at. Yes there are many good job opportunities available after doing MBA in Biotechnology. MBA in Biotechnology provides broad introduction to biotechnology and focuses on imparting management skills, required in chemical, Pharmaceutical or allied industries.
You are eligible for opportunities in government research and development organisations.
Some companies that hire bio technologists are Hindustan Lever , Thapar Group, Indo American Hybrid Seeds, Bincon India Limited, Bivcol, IDPL, Indian Vaccines Corporation, Hindustan Antibiotics, Sun Pharma, Cadila etc.

All these courses are very good and have a wide scope. After B.Tech biotech.you can work with different FMGs etc. B.Sc nursing is good if you have a jest for serving others and these kind of professionals are in great demand abroad too. BPT is another upcoming field that is gaining repute with great importance being given to sports.
There are many reputed universities like Lovely, Apollo College of Nursing, Army Institute of Nursing, PGI, etc.
