For admission in this course, you need to have passed Diploma in relevant field from a recognized board. You need to appear for JEECE. Admissions are made through counseling based on rank in Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE).

First, solve all previous year's papers under the given time. Prefer books specially NCERT and you can go for Online tutorial videos available on youtube regarding the exams if you are on your own. It's similar to JEE so don't take tension. For BIT Sindri you need rank in between 1 - 500. If you are an average student, you have to start your preparation now.

I guess there is no such criteria unlike in other colleges where if your CGPA is high enough you can opt for a branch change. You should consult the office personnel for a better outlook on the matter.

BIT is usually very hard to get. Many students compete for this college, so it would be very difficult to get this college, unless you work very hard.

Wait for another year or take admission in a different college. Weigh your options now. What would be best for you, waiting or pursuing the degree from different college.

I would suggest joining a coaching if you are serious. And also be ready to devote at least 5 hours a day to study. Since the questions asked will be on class 12th basis, so make sure to sweep through the whole syllabus and clear each topic. Leave some topics if you feel that they are consuming much time. Solve practice sets as much as you can. Since you are looking for a college that is the top choice for students, it will not be easy. So, prepare accordingly.
