BSc Biotechnology is an undergraduate programme that focuses on the practical concepts of biological systems & technology to develop products. The programme tries to provide students with a good foundation in biotechnological concepts. This course prepares them for careers in research, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and other related fields. It includes various subjects, including genetics, molecular biology, microbiology, and bioinformatics. Most preferable stream for BSc is Biotechnology is considered to be PCMB, but some colleges/ universities offer this course to PCB students as well

No, Maths is not compulsory for pursuing a BSc Biotechnology. So, you can go for a BSc in Biotechnology without having mathematics in your 12th class. The minimum requirement for BSc. Biotechnology requires successfully passing 12th class in the Science stream with PCBM or PCM subjects. The criteria may vary based on different universities/colleges.
