The allocation of IIIT Pune BTech seats are subject to the rules of reservation. As per the IIIT Pune reservation policy, a total of 20% of the total seats are reserved for BTech admissions. The seat reservation breakdown for the SC/ST category is as follows:
- 13% seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Caste converts to Buddhism (SC)
- 7% of the seats have been reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST)
