With 200 marks in NEET 2024, you may not be able to get admission to a BVSc programme at a reputed veterinary college. The minimum marks required for admission to a BVSc programme in a reputed veterinary college is expected to be over 400 for the unreserved category. 

Explanation

The NEET cutoff for Veterinary in 2024 is expected to be between 722 and 135 marks for general category students. 

For reserved categories like SC, ST, and OBC, it will be between 138 to 135 marks out of 720. 

For government veterinary college cut off marks for reserved category students, it is expected to be around 500.

You may have difficulty entering the BVSc and AH programs in West Bengal on a NEET score of 199. The cutoff marks for such courses usually range from 300 to 550. Some of the private universities might still consider your application, however. Fifteen seats are available at the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, Kolkata, while 60 are available in the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, WBUAFS, Kolkata. The annual tuition fee for BVSc and AH courses in West Bengal varies from INR 30,000 to INR 1,50,000. Also, it is very important to check the various cutoff marks and criteria for different college admissions. 

SVVU Tirupati has a decent placement record. As per the VSSU student reviews, most of the students are recruited into Animal Husbandry department through the Government notification. Around 70% of students get placed every year. The salary package offered to BVSc students ranges from INR 2.8 LPA to INR 9.75 LPA. The top recruiting companies include The Indian Veterinary Research Institute, PETA India, Terzetto Pharma Metrics, Amul Dairy, etc. Students gave a four-star rating to SVVU BVSc placements. According to the university's NIRF Report 2024, 65 students (out of 222) were placed at various organisations, with an average package of INR 8.75 LPA. 157 students opted for further education.

Once a candidate is offered admission to the BVSc & AH course of SVVU Tirupati, they must report to the university campus for document verification. They must submit the following original documents to finalise their admission:

• Pass Certificate-cum-Memorandum of Marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination (Intermediate)
• Hall Ticket & Rank Card of Andhra Pradesh EAMCET
• Class 12 or equivalent examination Certificate
• Community Certificate in the case of candidates belonging to Backward Classes/Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, signed by the competent authority/the latest EWS certificate
• Bonafide Study certificates (Class 6 onwards)
• Residence Certificate, if necessary
• Transfer Certificate from the College or School where the candidate last studied
• Form I and Form II, with evidence of land owned: Adangal/ 1B (or) Copy of Original Pattadar Passbook
• In case of candidates under Special Categories (CAP / NCC / PH / Sports & Games) the original certificates issued by the competent authorities

There are two ways to secure admission at SVVU Tirupati for BVSc course. Those who fulfil the preset eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age can get admission at the university in one of the following two ways:

• 85% of the total seats are filled under state quota through the combined counselling conducted by ANGRAU based on the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET merit. Within the state quota, there is a Farmers' quota wherein 25% of area-wise seats are reserved for candidates from farmers' families with 3 acres of agricultural land. Such candidates must have studied in a rural area for a minimum period of four years
• 15% of the total seats are filled by the Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi through a common entrance examination
