The college was originally established in 1998 by Navyug Vidyabhavan Trust and has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college has Bachelor and postgraduate degree courses in many engineering branches, which are under electrical civil, mechanical, &computer engineering department. The college is affiliated with Gujarat Technological University (GTU). CKPCET is providing quality education with the state-of-the-art infrastructure and academic excellence and has created relationships with industry for placements as well internships.

Usually, there is no direct admission to C.K. Pithawalla College of Engineering and Technology (CKPCET). Undergraduate (B.E.) admissions are given purely on merit basis and requires the candidate to have passed his 12th standard examination in Science and matriculated in Physics, Mathematics and one of the Optional Subjects securing a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ST and other backward communities). JEE Main score is also compulsory and the candidate has to obtain a valid score in GUJCET as well. For postgraduate M.E. courses, the candidates should pass B.E./B.Tech with minimum 50% marks for open categories, 45% for reserved categories where gate/ PGCET qualified candidates are preferred.
