If you are class 12th commerce student, then yes you are eligible for pursuing CA, but your open university course doesn't come into consideration, as CA comes after class 12th or after degree course.

CA stand for chartered accountant. As a chartered accountant you'll give advice, audit accounts and provide trustworthy information about financial records. DU does not provide any course for CA. Well if you want to become a chartered accountant also know as CA then you can apply for the CPT exam which is conducted by theInstitute of Chartered Accountants of India. The examination is conducted 4 times in year. The examination is generally done in the month of the February, May, August and November. To take this exam you first have to registered to the ICAI.

Hi friend, All candidates who have completed graduation or post graduation in Commerce stream, and in class twelve with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all subjects or its equivalent from a state or nationally recognised university (for graduation) are exempted from CA CPT.

Graduates including candidates who have successfully passed BBA as well as Post Graduates in Commerce with 55% or more average, and graduates and Post Graduates from any other stream with 60% or more average are eligible for Direct Entry Scheme. So, if you have completed your BBA, and the score is more than 55%, then you not need to give entrance Exam Called CA CPT (Common Proficiency Test).
