Canara Engineering College Eligibility

Canara Engineering College offers BE in Mechanical Engineering for the duration of 4 years with an annual intake of 30 students. The college offers BE in Mechanical Engineering with a total tuition fee worth INR 4 Lakh.

For admission to the respective course candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 45% in Class 12/ 2nd PUC / equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science, as optional subjects with English.

Furthermore, the admission is provided through counselling based on the rank obtained in Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET)/ Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority Professional Colleges Association (KRLMPCA UGCET). Remaining seats will be filled through rank obtained in JEE Mains.

To be eligible for admission to the B.E. or B.Tech course at Canara Engineering College, you must meet the following criteria: 

Pass the 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 45%

Have appeared for at least one of the following entrance exams: CET, COMEDK-UGET, JEE, or KRLMPCA UGCET

For SC, ST, Category 1, and OBC Category candidates, the minimum aggregate is 40%

The final selection is based on merit in KCET or JEE Main. 40% of the total intake is filled through KCET, while 30% each is allotted under Konkani quota and NRI/Others.

Collect the application form from the college's admission office

Fill out the application form and attach a passport-sized photograph

Attach the required documents, including your SSLC/10th mark sheet, PUC II/10+2 mark sheet, BE/B.Tech mark sheet and degree, and KCET/JEE-MAINS/KRLMPCA/GATE/PGCET Admit Card and Score Card
