Yes, it can sometimes matter a lot. Assume a case in which you have prepared for NEET for One year and got a medical college then you become a good doctor. Doctors have a salary for living life happily. In another case, you don't drop out and got a very low-paid job. So, sometimes dropping can have good consequences.

Education has no age barriers. You can continue your education at any stage of your life to achieve your life goals. Just apply for Open University and pursue whichever course or degree you want to pursue.

After completing of XII exams, search the colleges and Universities, where you want to get admission. Visit the campus or websites of respective colleges/ Universities for admission criteria. You can get admission in various courses through NEET marks. Those marks will definitely help you to become a doctor. If due to some reason you can't able to become a doctor, you can opt for teaching or research background. Or you can work in corporate sector, they will definitely pay you good income if you were hard-working. Go for B.Sc.
