There are other ways to do MBA in India. You may opt for GMAT, wherein many Indian universities are taking intake, plus the same is relatively easy to CAT.

Hello Dheeraj,
Your grades in school or college don't decide whether you will crack CAT for IIMS or not. You must start preparing for CAT the most popular exam for MBA if you want to get in any IIM. The ideal time to prepare is your 2nd year of Graduation. Make your basics strong, take coaching for CAT and forget your grades used to be low. Anyone can give CAT from any field or degree. After you crack CAT with good scores, you have to give Interview which will decide your branch of IIM. All the best.

Your profile is indeed good. Seeing this profile, I can visualize that you are going to get good marks in the graduation exam. For CAT, the eligibility is graduation, and as you will be having graduation with good marks, you are definitely eligible to appear for CAT. Have no worries and prepare for CAT with full attention along with your B.Tech studies. Best wishes.

Yes, you are eligible for CAT Exam.
The qualification criterion that is needed for a student to apply for the Common Admission Test is a graduate degree from an approved college. The students can be from any stream, but they are required to have a score of at least 50 percent in their final exams. Students of the SC/ST/PH and OBC communities require only 45 percentage marks. Those who are writing their final year exam are qualified to appear for the exam too. Approach a good institute like TIME as it is very hard to prepare all by yourself.

Class 10th or Class 12th marks don't matter for applying CAT or MAT. All you are required to have at least 50% in graduation, and if you are in final year, then you must have maintained at least 50% marks in the last 2 year's exam.
