No, CCSU is not a private university. CCS Meerut (earlier known as Meerut University) is a UGC approved university. CCSU Meerut University is also accredited with A+ Grade by the NAAC. Being a public university, the fee for the available programmes is not very high.

Chaudhary Charan Singh University Meerut has a no. of regular & self-financed undergraduate, postgraduate, & doctorate programmes. These courses are available under multiple streams, like Arts, Engineering, Management, Science, etc. While the UG courses are available for a duration of 3 to 4 yrs, postgraduate programmes are mostly of 2-year duration. At the UG level, the CCSU has the BTech, BSc, BA, CCS University Meerut LLB, & other courses for students. At the postgraduate level, the university offers MA, MSc, MCom, & other programmes to students. The university also provides diploma, PhD, & certificate programmes to students.&
