Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (CVV) is a deemed-to-be-university under the de novo category.  This means that CVV is dedicated to new or emerging areas of knowledge or specialised arts. CVV has been recognised by UGC. It has approvals from AICTE for its engineering and management programmes.

The admission to the various programmes at Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth is merit-based. CVV admissions are granted in compliance with the reservation regulations of UGC. CVV does not accept credit transfer from other universities. CVV does not consider any formal or informal recommendations from any individual or entity.

Students have to pay a Caution Deposit at the time of admission for MBA at Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth. Students have to make a one-time payment of INR 10,000 as caution deposit. It is refundable.

The documents shown here are required for Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth admissions:

  • Entrance Exam Score Card (JEE Mains, KEAM, etc.)
  • Passing certificate of the qualifying exam (either Class 12 and 10 or bachelor's/ master's degree as the case may be).
  • Statement of marks at the qualifying examination and migration certificate (only for candidates passing Bachelor's/ Master's degree from other universities).
  • Government-issued ID proof (Aadhaar card, passport, etc.)
  • Passport-size photograph of candidate
  • Category Certificate (if required)

Students must also pay application fees and complete the course requirements.

To be eligible for admissions at Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth students must complete course requirements which are generally:

  • Minimum 50% scores in Class 12 for UG courses except for BSc (Applied Psychology) which requires minimum 55%.
  • While for PG courses such as MA and MBA requires minimum 50% in graduation which is 65% for MA (Sanskrit) and 55% for MSc courses.

Students must also have subject-specific knowledge or training for courses such as MA Music, MA Sanskrit, etc.

Yes, Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth accepts valid KEAM scores for admissions to its BTech programme. Students can apply for the exam if they have missed the other required exams such as JEE Mains and CVV Entrance Exams or if they prefer KEAM exam.

This exam is conducted is by the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) for admission to Engineering, Agricultural and Medical courses in Kerala.
