Chitkara University does follow the CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) system wherein the grade points of each subject in the semester is added up and then divided by the total number of subjects. The obtained figure is the CGPA. Example: if the grade points of each subject are 9,8,8,9 and 6 then the total of this is 40. 40 would be divided by 5 to give the CGPA.

Chitkara University, a private university, which is located in Rajpura, Punjab (30 km away from Chandigarh) is one of the top most universities in india. It is recognised by the University grants commission. The university rankers between 401 to 600 band out of 768 University's internationally.

The faculty at chitkara University is nice all the faculty members of every stream are highly qualified and have abundant knowledge about their respective subjects. They are really helpful and cooperative with the students. They try to provide a stresses free and fun environment so that the students can enhance their personality behavior and attitudes.

No, it's not compulsory and to be very honest don't go for the hostel option. It's very hard to live in the Chitkara hostel. The staff and wardens are good but there are so many unnecessary rules. And many restrictions for no reason. So it's better not to take a hostel. They provide you with Utensils (Cup & Plate) and without that they won't give you snacks and if you lost them they will charge you a fine. They won't allow you to take food to your room you are allowed to take food in a mess only.

You can join one programme at a time. But there are many curricular activities in Campus itself. It is impossible to join two programs at one time it will definitely affect your academics.

The college is yet to release the placement report for the year 2023. However, over 75 students received PPO and more than 30 students received international offers during Chitkara University MBA placements in 2022. However, the average package offered during Chitkara Business School MBA placements in 2022 stood at INR 8.50 LPA.
