Applicants for admission to MPT programme must have passed this university's BPT degree examination as well as any examination from another university that this university's administration has recognised as being comparable. Before applying for admission to any affiliated institution, candidates who have passed the BPT examinations from somewhere other than "The Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University" - except Annamalai University - must obtain an eligibility certificate from this university by sending the required fees with their application.

The candidate have to appear for college level entrance exam + selection process and PI .The entrance exam consist of two steps. Step one will be entrance exam (Computer Based exam) and shotlisted candidates goes for selection process. Step two consist of medical test, PI, skill test, apttitude and such test towards the healing ministry. However, for Christain candidates applying under the Minority Network category, a written test in Bible knowledge will be conducted at Vellore campus. Christian Medical College is an unaided, Private college Christian minority institute that was established in 1918. In addition to offering top-notch academics and extensive patient exposure, Christian Medical College, CMC Vellore is one of the best private medical schools in India. The college also has one of the lowest annual fees. A significant number of students are unable to be admitted each year due to the sharp increase in the CMC Vellore cutoff. For admission to CMC Vellore in 2024, a student must receive marks higher than 550. For students in the General category in 2024, the cutoff was 660.

Yes, CMC Vellore does offers BSc course. The cousre is offered for four years and is offered in a full-time mode. BSc in Nursing is only available for women candidates. CMC Vellore BSc admission is merit-based. The nursing selection process involves qualifying the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (APEAPCET), conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE).
