Students can check CMI 2026 eligibility criteria for all courses here:
- BSc (Hons) Maths and Computer Science: Class 12 standard
- BSc (Hons) maths and Physics: Class 12 standard.
- MSc in maths: Undergraduate degree (BA, BSc, BE, BTech) with strong background in maths.
- MSc in Computer Science: Undergraduate degree (BA, BSc, BE, BTech) with strong background in computer science.
- MSc in Data Science: Undergraduate degree (BA, BSc, BE, BTech) with background in maths/statistics/computer science.

The following degrees are acceptable for application: Bachelor of arts, Bachelor of Science in mathematics, Bachelor of statistics, Bachelor of engineering, Bachelor of technology, or any bachelor's degree with mathematics as the major topic. Effective May 19, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., the CMI Entrance Exam 2024 was held. Students may apply for admission to the programme if they have passed, or anticipate passing, the 12th standard (or equivalent) exam from an accredited board in 2024. Eligibility criteria for BSc courses in CMI Entrance Exam:
- Should have passed Class 12 or similar examination from a recognised board with Maths.
- There is no age limit.
- Appeared for National Science Olympiad and secured exceptionally good marks
- CMI Entrance Exam is very competitive exam and it is important to start preparing early.
