CMI Entrance Exam Eligibility

The following degrees are acceptable for application: Bachelor of arts, Bachelor of Science in mathematics, Bachelor of statistics, Bachelor of engineering, Bachelor of technology, or any bachelor's degree with mathematics as the major topic. Effective May 19, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., the CMI Entrance Exam 2024 was held. Students may apply for admission to the programme if they have passed, or anticipate passing, the 12th standard (or equivalent) exam from an accredited board in 2024. The cutoff has typically been between 40% and 50% overall and 40% for the objective component. Screening takes place in the objective part. Although CMI does not provide the cutoff scores, they have in the past complied with specific requests. 

The eligibility criteria for BSc courses in the CMI Entrance Exam is as follows:

•  The candidate must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
• There is no age limit for admission to the BSc courses.
• Candidates who have appeared for National Science Olympiad and secured exceptionally good marks are exempted from appearing in the CMI Entrance Exam.

The CMI Entrance Exam is a highly competitive exam, and it is important to start preparing early. The exam covers a vast syllabus in mathematics and computer science, so it is important to be well-prepared in order to do well.
