CMR University

School of Economics and Commerce, CMR University offers two courses at UG and doctoral levels. The school offers BCom (Hons) at the UG level for three-years and a PhD programme at the doctoral level. Candidates are selected for admission to UG courses based on CMRUAT scores whereas an entrance test is conducted by CMR University for PhD programme.

School of Economics and Commerce, CMR University offers admission to PhD programme based on scores in entrance test conducted by the university. The PhD entrance examination comprises two papers-General Aptitude & Research Methodology and  domain-specific subject as studied at the postgraduate level. Both the papers consist of 60 multiple-choice questions and the time allotted for each paper is one hour.

School of Economics and Commerce, CMR University admission to PhD programme is based on an entrance test conducted by the university. Selected candidates are further called for a personal interview round. The exact date, time and venue of the exam is communicated to each shortlisted candidate. The final results are announced once the scores obtained by the candidates in their PG examination, entrance examination and personal interview are consolidated.

Candidates must complete a four-year bachelor's degree programme or a two-year master's degree programme after a three-year bachelor's degree programme with at least 55% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Differently Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories) to apply for School of Economics and Commerce, CMR University PhD programme. 

Candidates must pass PUC/ Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board to apply for School of Economics and Commerce, CMR University BCom (Hons) programme. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. Besides, candidates must also pass CMRUAT for admission to BCom (Hons) course.

School of Economics & Commerce, CMR University offers a three-year full-time BCom (Hons) programme divided into six semesters. The school offers BCom (Hons) in below specialisations:

• Certified Management Accountant (US CMA)

It is not mandatory to have a CMRUAT score for scholarship at SOEC CMR University. However, if a students want to avail scholarship based on CMRUAT score then qualifying the test is compulsory. Below is the detailed criteria:
