Placements are good at CMR University. BTech highest and average package in recent past was 18 LPA and 4 LPA. In MBA and BBA, 97.1% and 87.3% students were placed. In School of Design, the average package received was between 4 LPA and 6 LPA.

Admission to MCA course is based on Karnataka PGCET/ KMAT score. Additionally, candidates must pass any degree with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST) to apply for MCA course. After completion of the selection rounds, the shortlisted candidates are called for verification of the documents and counselling round. Aspirants need to pay course fee to confirm their seat in the university. The Management Quota fee for MCA course is INR 3.60 lakh. The fee is the total of annual fee paid by the candidates every year. Aspirants are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats.
