The procedure for BTech admission at Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology is inclusive of AMUEEE entrance exam. To secure admission candidates must complete the AMUEEE exam's admission process. Interested candidates can apply for the exam through the official website of the university. They must also register for the AMUEEE counselling after the release of AMUEEE results. 

As per the seat availability at Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, there are over 590 seats reserved for the BTech course. The seats are further spread across the multiple BTech specialisations. 150 seats are alone reserved for the BE course. Further, the remaining 440 seats are spread across the BTech specialisations, where BTech in Mechanical Engineering has the highest number of seats ( 90 seats) among all the offered specialisations.

The AMUEEE syllabus consists of topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics equivalent to the 12th standard qualifying examination syllabus. However, the authorities also accepted application with late fee until February 15, 2025. The exam was held on June 10, 2024.
