SSPMCOE is an institute that was relatively lesser known compared with other more prominent engineering colleges in Maharashtra. The institute was offering some decent undergraduate programs in areas like Civil, Mechanical and Computer Science Engineering, and yet the name and status of this institution were hardly as widely recognised as it was in other larger or older institutions. It has the management of the trust of Sindhudurg Shikshan Prasarak Mandal and is found in the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra.
