PTU is a state university, whereas Desh Bhagat University is a private university. This means that PTU is funded by the Punjab government, while Desh Bhagat University is funded by its own tuition fees and other sources of income.

For Tolani Maritime Institute DNS admission, candidates must have passed Class 10 or 12 with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics along with at least 50% marks in English.
