Netaji Subhas University of Technology is a state-level university which was founded in 1983 and in 2018 the institute was given university status, hence making it a non-affiliating university. The university was recognised by the UGC and AICTE.

No, NIFT Delhi does not accept offline application for admissions. Students have to complete the application process through the official sites only. NIFTEE applications have to be submitted at NTA site. The NIFT Delhi application form is also available online only.

Students have to submit some documents during NIFT Delhi admissions and applications. The general list is as below:

  • Class 10 marksheet/ Certificate
  • Class 12 marksheet & Certificate
  • Bachelors degree and marksheets -for PG courses
  • PG marksheet & Certificate - for PhD
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Passport size photograph
  • Scanned copy of signature
  • Caste/ Category Certificate - if applicable
  • PwD/ UDID Certificate - if applicable
  • Research Proposal - for PhD courses

No, it's not easy to get admission in NIFT Delhi. Students have to meet the basic eligibility and get good scores in NIFTEE. Clearing the selection rounds including interview and counselling is also mandatory. The competition is high. With NIFT Delhi being one of the top fashion technology institutes of the country, the cutoff is high too. But, with right planning, students can get a seat at the institute.

Yes, NIFT Delhi does have an entrance exam to shortlist students for admissions. The institute accepts NIFT Entrance Exam - NIFTEE. The test is conducted by NTA for admission to BDes, BFTech, MDes, MFTech, NLEA programmes. Students can check the institute's site to know more.
