No, DAIICT (Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology) does not offer direct admissions for any of its programs. Admission is entirely based on entrance exams and, in some cases, performance in interviews and counselling processes.

The specific entrance exam you need to take depends on the programme you're applying for. For instance:

To get Admission in BTech programs you'll need a valid score in JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination - Main). You can apply through GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) for MTech

MSc, MDes, PhD: These programs might have their own specific entrance exams conducted by DAIICT

Getting into IIM Ahmedabad's MBA (PGP) is a multi-step process:

  1. CAT scores: Candidates need to score exceptionally high (90+ percentile) on the Common Admission Test (CAT). This is the key hurdle.
  2. Meet Eligibility Criteria: Candidates need to have a Bachelor's degree with good marks and, for most candidates, 3+ years work experience.
  3. Shortlist & Interviews: Based on CAT scores and profile, IIM Ahmedabad shortlists candidates that go for a Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).
  4. Selection: Final selection considers your entire profile - CAT, WAT, PI, academics, and work experience (if applicable).

It is not mandatory to take coaching to get a good rank in NID DAT. It is because the entrance exam will test the creative, drawing, and innovative skills of the candidate. Now, a coaching institute cannot exactly teach you to be creative or become innovative. Instead, with a little effort these skills can learn these skills yourself. Also, a major thrust of the design aptitude test is to evaluate the drawing skills of the candidate. So, make it a point to work on your design skills, including learning how to draw lines, shadow, figure, gesture, cartoon drawing, etc. When practicing drawing, also keep a tab on the drawing speed, as it
