No, the BTech admissions at IIT Guwahati are yet to be opened for 2026. However, the 2026 BTech admissions at IIT Guwahati will be opened very soon with the opening of JEE Mains registrations for the summer session.
The JEE Advanced 2026 registerations are scheduled to being from April 23rd 2026.

No, the eligibility criteria for the dual degree BTech courses at IIT Guwahati remains the same as regular BTech courses.
Candidates need to clear Class 12 board exams with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects to be eligible for the aforementioned dual degree courses.
Selection criteria for these courses is also the same as regular BTech courses.

Yes, the hostel services are offered to PhD students of IIT Guwahati. However, only the regular category PhD course students receive hostel service from IIT Guwahati.
Non regular category PhD students are not offered any hostel services and are required to find off site arrangements.

The PhD students of IIT Guwahati who secured admissions under the Industry-Sponsored category will be charged INR 5 Lacs per semester as PhD fees.
This makes the total PhD fees for these students INR 40 Lacs at IIT Guwahati. However, this is the only fees mentioned for these students on the website.

Yes, the PhD students of Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme of IIT Guwahati are offered financial assistance. The students of this scheme are eligible to get the following:
- Fellowship: Rs. 38,750/month in 1st and 2nd years. Rs. 43,750/month for 3rd, 4th and 5th years.
- Contingency Grant: Rs. 1,20,000/year.
- Support for attending international conference and to visit labs abroad.
