Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management Hyderabad is generally considered Tier 2 private B School. It is highly regarded in Telangana for its PGDM programs, holding reputable rankings but does not fall into national Tier 1 category like IIMs or XLRI.

SC/ST, LBC, EBC scholarships are awarded and also available for the students at University College of Science, Osmania University joining post-graduate PG programmes, subject to certain terms & conditions. The Government of Telangana will soon announce the eligibility requirement, modalities for uploading the required certificates & forms.
All Osmania University students have to strictly follow the instructions given by the Government for the sanction of Scholarships. Students are advised to be in touch with the Scholarship Section of the office of the Principal. There is also Osmania University Post - Matric Scholarships provided

OU campus is about 8-10 km away from both the Secunderabad & Hyderabad Railway Stations. To reach the Osmania University campus, the UG/PG students can hire AC radio cabs from the airport.
Osmania University campus is located around the 8-10 kms from the bus stations, known as Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station & also Jubilee Bus Station.

Yes, Osmania University is worth the hype. Osmania University Hyderabad India is ranked 53 under the 'Overall', 30 under the 'University', and 7 under the 'State Public University' category in the NIRF 2025 Rankings. Osmania University Hyderabad Telangana is also ranked under the 1201-1400 band in the QS World University Rankings 2026.

Osmania University has all the qualities of the Tier 1 university such as good placements, good scholarships, good ranking, and others. It stands at par with various Tier 1 universities.

Admission to the PGDM courses in IPE Hyderabad are based on merit. Students from the ST/SC category are given relaxation in the eligibility criteria. While the eligibility criteria for General category students is 50% aggregate and above in Bachelor's degree, students from ST/SC category who score 45% and above in Bachelor's degree are eligible to apply for PGDM courses in IPE Hyderabad.

Institute of Public Enterprise Hyderabad seat intake for the PGDM course depends on the specialisation selected by the candidate. The number of PGDM seats in IPE Hyderabad are 180. 120 seats are available for PGDM in Banking and Financial Services. There are 60 seats each for PGDM in Business Analytics, PGDM in International Business, PGDM in HRM and PGDM in Marketing Management.
