Aspirants who have completed Diploma in Engineering/ Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education,  Tamil Nadu or its equivalent are eligible to apply for Lateral entry admission to the third semester of BE/ BTech in the branch corresponding to the branch of study can apply for BE/ BTech (LE). 

The candidates who possess a Degree in Science (BSc) with Mathematics as a subject at the BSc level are also eligible to apply for lateral entry admission to the third semester of BE/ BTech.

The total tuition fee for SSRIT Chennai BTech course ranges between INR 2 lakh and INR 2.20 lakh. After completion of the selection rounds, aspirants need to pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the institute. The selection to BE/ BTech coure is based on merit of the candidates in last qualifying exam followed by TNEA Counselling.
