The eligibility criteria for admission into Shri Sant Gadge Baba College of Engineering and Technology for BTech programme are as follows:

  • Eligibility :An individual must pass class 12 with PCM Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject and Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology any one as  additional.
  • Minimum Marks: A student must secure a minimum percentage of 45% (40% for reservation category) in the above mentioned subjects in order to get admission into the institution .
  • Entrance: The college accepts entrance exam scores of JEE Mains and MHT CET

The percentage cutoffs for MHT CET in Shri Sant Gadge Baba College of Engineering and Technology for B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering stream for the Academic year 2024-2024 were between 47.01 percentiles to 56.85 percentiles. That is why, for example, in Data Science or Electronics and Computer Engineering, different cutoffs may be applied and there are rounds which occur at lower percentiles.

Concerning the aspect of the hostel mess, students believe that it provides food quality in adequate measure. They like reasonably good meals at a reasonable price, even though there are disparities concerning the aspect of variety and flavour. The meals are your regular college mess fare and are available as vegetable and non-vegetarian meals. Once in a while, one may hear calls for a wider horizon and taste. All in all, the hostel mess can be a viable option in a student's life, who resides in the hostel, to satisfy their nutritional needs.

Shri Sant Gadge Baba College of Engineering & Technology (SSGBCOET) hostel fees include:

Boys' Hostel: - INR 8000 per semester, other than the cost of the mess.

Girls' Hostel: Dues of INR 12,000 per semester do not include mess charges.

The two hostels do not have air conditioners and facilities in the rooms include bed, table, chair and wardrobe.

It is found that at Shri Sant Gadge Baba College of Engineering and Technology semester exams, the result of exams is declared usually within 30-45 days. Whereas for odd semester i.e., 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th, those are announced in February and for the even semesters i.e., 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th, are released in August. Specific dates may thus differ from one year to the other due to the academic calendar.

The College has been able to produce successful alumni in different disciplinae in Shri Sant Gadge Baba College of Engineering and Technology. Some of the distinguished alumni are information technology solutions providers in multinational organizations such as TCS, INFOSYS and WIPRO. Some of the well-known achievements are not well advertised, however graduates are actively working in IT, engineering, and management industries. The college therefore has a good presence of alumni who play an active role in supporting the college.

Every academic course and the entrance test scores are different for Shri Sant Gadge Baba College of Engineering and Technology. The cutoff percentile required for MHT CET is between 80-90 percent and for JEE Main it is between 60-70 percent for general category. The standards for the reserved categories, by contrast, are somewhat lower, traditionally, 5-10 percentiles lower. Such values may differ with time particularly the following year depending on the scores obtained by the applicants and the number of seats available.
