The admission to Jorhat Medical College for MBBS is based on the score in NEET and availability of seats. If you qualify NEET you will be considered for admission, but betterment marks in Chemistry may not be a determining factor. It is advised to check the admission criteria and seat availability with the college directly.

An applying candidate must have completed his/her Bachelor's Degree minimum of 3 years with at least 50 % of marks (45% marks for the candidates of SC/ST categories). Also, the candidate needs to appear for any national level entrance examinations such as CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT or KUEST
There could be chances of getting benefits of sc category in entrance exam. But eligibility criteria is same for all the categories.

Because it varies depending on the course, it's best to specify the course. In general, general category students need45 % in most courses, while 50 % is the criteria in some courses. Furthermore, the percentage is not the only criteria for admission.
