The current CAT cutoff to enter the master's in business administration at the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM), Kolkata, is in the 70 percentile in the General category. The cutoff for the OBC, SC, and PwD categories is normally around 40 percentile. Admission requires CAT rankings, which are followed by group discussions (GD) and personal interview (PI) phases. For admission to the UG courses at RBU, no entrance exams are required since admissions are merit-based. While for admission to the PG courses, the RBU Entrance Test is required. It is a Multiple Choice exam.

To get into NIFT Kolkata, General AI category students need a rank ranging between 162 and 3060 for admission to any of the available courses, namely, BDes course branches, BFTech and MFM. According to the NIFT Kolkata last round cutoff, the most competitive course for enrolment was the MFM course, with a closing rank of 365. This same course had the first round closing rank of 162
