Colleges in Kota

Kota University offers various facilities to its students. Some facilities apart from the library, hostel, etc. are given below:

Transport facility: The university possesses six vehicles for miscellaneous purposes. Three vehicles are owned by the university, and the other three are engaged on a contract basis.

Medical and Health: The university has a Senior Medical Officer on a part-time basis. Thus, the students and employees of the university get regular medical and health check-up facilities on the premises.

University Canteen: A spacious and well-maintained canteen has been designed to make dining comfortable and enjoyable. The canteen not only maintains hygiene but also serves healthy and nutritious food. The entire canteen has a pleasant ambience, making it a good hangout place for students.

Kota University offers separate boys and girls hostels. Admission to the hostel is made by the Hostel Central Admission Committee. Candidates should send applications along with the required documents to the Hostel Warden. Admission to the university hostel will be based only on the grades received in the most recent qualifying exam. For this, an original grade report is needed. A list of applicants accepted into any hostel will be displayed on the hostel's notice board, and a challan/ NET Banking deposit period of up to three days will be allowed for the hostel fees.

After submitting the hostel fee, candidates should send applications along with the required documents to the Hostel Warden to allot a room in the hostel. Candidates must pay approximately INR 4,000 per month along with a one-time security fee of INR 2,000. Additionally, the hostel has a mess. The mess charges are as per the expenditure by the candidate.

UOK Kota has a total of over 15 departments under 5 faculty members. The departments offer undergraduate, postgraduate, Diploma and Certificate courses to students across Social Science, Law, Commerce & Management, Science, and Education streams. The departments are:

UOK Kota is a state-government university. UOK Kota was established in 2003 by the Government of Rajasthan and is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). The University of Kota is accredited with a B Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Through its 5 faculty, more than 15 departments, 6 shodhpeeth, and 192 affiliated colleges, Kota University provides undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, Diploma, and Certificate programmes to students in the fields of Social Science, Law, Commerce & Management, Science and Education.

By establishing MoUs with organisations like the Centre for Climate Science & Policy Research, Linkoping University in Sweden, DCM Sriram Consolidated Limited Kota, and others, the university has partnerships on a national and international level. UOK Kota provides students with a number of amenities, including a central library, a digital library consortium, a canteen, a hostel, a sports complex, a gym, labs, a bus service, an auditorium, and other facilities.
