IIIT Bhopal conducts admission as per the eligiblity criteria based on merit and entrance. Candidate must secure a minimum of 75% in Class 12 with PCM and qualify JEE Main along with the JoSAA counselling. Courses such as MCA require a minimum aggregate of 60% in BSc/ BSc (Hons)/ BCA/ BIT conducted by a recognised University. Candidates must qualify NIMCET to seek admission in MCA. IIIT Bhopal BTech students received the highest package of INR 34.4 LPA in placement 2024. However, the placement rate was 60% with the average package of INR 12.33 LPA. The students that participated in placement were around 135, while 81 among that received a placement. For BTech ECE and IT, the average package in 2024 was INR 10.53 LPA and for BTech in CSE, the average package was INR 14.7 LPA.
