According to Times of India it is reported that total number of 70,000 seats were allocated for the B.Tech students at the Institute of Engineering and Technology AKTU.
However only 30,000 candidates have registered and the rest 40,000 remain vacant after several poorly-resourced engineering colleges shut, culling thousands of seats.
In 2021-22, AKTU had 1.34 Lacs BTech seats, according to the Times of India 44,384 seats remained vacant.

Candidates applying for the admission in the AKTU MBA program.
Candidates should appear for the CUET PG exam, conducted by NTA. The university does not conduct any separate entrance examination for the same.
For the final selection, AKTU will conduct the counselling session for seat allocation.
Eligibility criteria for the admission in the AKTU MBA programme candidates must complete their gradiation with 50% marks.

AKTU placements 2023 reports are being released gradually, but the complete statistics are yet to be made public on the official website.
Since the start of the placement season, a total of 7,000 students are registered in the campus placement drive for the year 2023 at the various affiliated colleges under it. The university has maintained a 90% placement record, offering salary packages ranging from Rs 1 Lacs per annum to as high as Rs 20 Lacs per annum.
For the year 2022, the AKTU the highest placement was Rs 1.13 crore per annum, offered by Amazon.

AKTU provides the B.Tech degree with 41 different specializations
Duration - four years.
- AKTU takes an entrance exam viz. UPSEE for entry in the B.Tech courses.
- AKTU also approves 20% of aspirants based on JEE Main score as per the State Government criteria.
Eligibility norm -
Candidates should have finished their 12th standard exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with 45% marks or more ( 40% score or more SC/ST) from an identified board.

First year of B.Tech is same for all branches at AKTU. Syllabus of first year is designed to introduce students with basics of all engineering branches. If the student's basics is clear and has good academic report and knowledge of class 11th and 12th along with teacher's guidance and notes maintained of all subjects with continuous revision students can easily clear 1st year of B tech at AKTU without any back .
Note- Back means if you got less then 30% marks in any subject in university exam then you need to appear in same exam again.
