GEIMS Pune offers Certificate in Graduate Marine Engineers programme for a duration of 18 months. For the first eight months, students understand the nuances of the shipping industry. Further, students are trained for four months as a Trainee Marine Engineer on a ship. Once this is done, students are trained for six months as a Junior Engineer on the ship.

GEIMS Pune offers courses at Diploma and certificate levels. The institute offers 12 months on shore followed by 18 months on board training in Diploma in Nautical Science. Yes, the age limit to apply for Diploma in Nautical Science at GEIMS Pune is 17-24 years. Besides, candidates also need to fulfil the other eligibility requirements for admission. Aspirants need to complete Class 12 with PCM with at least 60% aggregate to apply for Diploma programme.
