No, a candidate may only join one programme of St Edmunds College Shillong at a time. This is because, according to the UGC, A student can only pursue one Physical/Full-Time course at a time. Moreover, St Edmunds only offers courses in Physical/Full-Time modes with no distance or open-learning modes available.

Fees at St Edmunds College Meghalaya, are a combination of the major and minor subject fees. Generally, BSW students must pay INR 34,033 per semester, combined for both minor and major, of which students must pay INR 15,000 during the time of admission. Students can also expect extra charges in case of hostel enrollment, study tours, fieldtrips, etc.

St Edmunds College Shillong, is famous for receiving the status of Star and Mentor Institute from the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, for Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Physics and Zoology. St Edmunds has also been granted STAR funding by the Government of India and serves as an active research centre in Biotech Hub and Bioinformatics Centre.

No, St Edmunds College Meghalaya is a privately owned college established by the Congregation of Christian Brothers in 1916 as St. Edmunds School, and later St. Edmunds College, University section was established in 1923. Currently, it functions as a private institute with a Grant-in-aid status, which means it receives partial funding from the Government. and is in turn subject to Govt. inspection and rules.

St Edmunds College Shillong is a great college for students who wish to receive a comprehensive, wide and most of all flexible education. Students at SEC have some degree of freedom when it comes to customising their curriculum as St Edmunds offers students a choice between various major, minor, skill and value added courses at the start of the semester.

The release of application forms for St Edmunds College Meghalaya admission depends on the course level. For the academic year of 2025, UG course admissions began on March 10, 2025 and the last date to apply is August 23, 2025. Candidates must submit their Class 10 and 12 and CUET marksheets before this date and apply on the college admissions portal.

St Edmunds College Shillong currently offers only online mode of applications, with prospective candidates having to upload their CUET (UG/PG) marks or appear for the College Admission Test if they fail to appear for CUET. Candidates who upload CUET marks will be given first preference, and the College Admissions test is for enrollment into any remaining seats only.

Yes, St Edmunds College Meghalaya offers multiple ways to gain admission without CUET. Interested candidates who meet the course specific eligibility requirements, can appear for the College Entrance Test with their performance in this test and their Class 12 aggregate results determining admission into any remaining seats. Candidates of the Congregation of Christian Brothers, other Catholic Religious Congregations, and Seminarians will be given direct admission into St Edmunds College if they fulfil the course-specific eligibility requirements.
