Aspirants who have passed BCom/ BBM/ BBA from UOM or any other university with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST/ CAT-I candidates) are eligible to apply for MCom programme at University of Myore. For the holistic development of the students, the university has a separate cell called the Directorate of Physical Education, which looks after the sports-related events. The University of Mysore sports facilities include three cricket grounds, four tennis courts, a cinder track, three basketball courts, etc. It also has Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar, Gangotri Glades, and three indoor stadiums. A well-equipped large gymnasium and a well-maintained swimming pool are also available for the students to focus on their physical health.

The University of Mysore has 19 hostels, out of which 9 are exclusively for postgraduate students and 9 are for undergraduates. These 18 hostels provide both accommodation and dining facilities to students of UG, PG, Diploma, M.Phil, and PhD programmes. All the hostels are under the surveillance of CCTV cameras for the safety and security of the students.
