Eligibility Criteria: Candidate should have a graduation degree from a recognised university with 55 percentage or 2.2/4.0 GPA or equivalent GPA Proof of English proficiency is required for students coming from non English speaking medium: TOEFL/IELTS or any other standard certification in English. The candidate having full-time degree-level course, entirely taught and assessed in English need not submit any certificate.

For Working Executives-  Minimum 5 years of working experience.

No Objection Certificate is required from employer for working executives/sponsored candidates/ candidates on sabbatical/candidates recommended by PSUs/GOI Departments.

CAT/XAT/MAT score will not be applicable.

Nalanda University offers a PhD programme in various disciplines. The PhD programme is available in three specializations, which are Historical Studies, Ecology and Environment Studies, and Buddhist Studies, Philosophy and Comparative Religions. The School of Historical Studies offers an internationally competitive MA and PhD degrees that focus on Asian, global and comparative history. The School of Ecology and Environment Studies offers a Master's in Ecology and Environment Studies and a PhD in Ecology and Environment Studies. The School of Buddhist Studies, Philosophy and Comparative Religions offers a Master's in Buddhist Studies, Philosophy and Comparative Religions and a PhD in Buddhist Studies, Philosophy and Comparative Religions.

Lakshya P.G. Girls Hostel: This hostel is exclusively for girls and offers single, double, and triple rooms. The cost of a single room starts from INR 5,000 per month.

Maa Hostel: This hostel is also a mixed hostel and offers single, double, and triple rooms. The cost of a single room starts from INR 4,000 per month.

Adarsh Hostel: This hostel is a mixed hostel and offers single, double, and triple rooms. The cost of a single room starts from INR 3,500 per month.

Shri Ram PG: This PG is a mixed PG and offers single, double, and triple rooms. The cost of a single room starts from INR 3,000 per month.

Hostel Inn: This PG is a mixed PG and offers single, double, and triple rooms. The cost of a single room starts from INR 2,500 per month.

General:

• Students are expected to dress in a neat and tidy manner, and to avoid wearing clothes that are too revealing or too casual.
• Shorts, skirts above the knee, sleeveless tops, and flip-flops are not allowed in the academic areas of the campus.
• Students are required to wear their student identification cards at all times.

Special events:

• For special events, such as convocations and cultural programs, students may be required to wear formal attire.
• Students should check with the event organizers for specific dress code requirements.

The dress code is enforced by the University's administration. The students who violate the dress code may be asked to change their clothes or may be given a warning. Repeated violations of the dress code may result in disciplinary action, such as suspension or expulsion.
