There are different deadlines for submitting applications to Kathmandu University based on the curriculum and the admission period.
In July, admissions will be open for all undergraduate programs and the majority of graduate programs during the Fall session of the university. The deadline is Jul 22, 2026. The relevant school or department determines the admission time.

The Kathmandu University School of Education website states that the following paperwork is required in order for Indian students to be granted a study visa for further education at Kathmandu University:
1. A bank statement from the most recent week that shows enough money
2. Online application form
3. Copies of the most recent passport and Nepali visa
4. Marriage license and birth certificate (for individuals submitting applications on behalf of their partner and kids)
5. Card of progress report (for student visa renewal)
