Yes, candidates must have valid entrance scores which are OJEE, CUET-PG, and GATE. For admission to an M.Tech course at GITA, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. The eligibility criteria for the course is BTech/MSc with a 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST).

To enrol for BTech course admission at Gandhi Institute for Technological Advancement after Class 12, the basic eligibility is Class 12. Candidates must pass Class 12 with a 45% aggregate with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Geology / Statistics. Apart from the eligibility, the selection criteria for the course are JEE Main, and OJEE.

From 2021 to 2023 placements, year-on-year growth was recorded in BTech and M.Tech placement rates. The MBA placement rate dropped slightly from 2021 to 2022 and for 2022 and 2023 the placement rate has been stagnant. IIT Bhubaneswar MSc cutoff 2025 has been released for Round 1, wherein M.Sc. + Ph.D. in Geology was the most competitive specialsiation with a closing rank of 127 for the General AII India category students. The least competitive course was M.Sc. + Ph.D. in Atmosphere and Ocean Sciences with a cutoff rank of 589. So, candidates seeking admission to any of the MSc course must secure a rank upto 589 to be eligible for IIT Bhubaneswar for MSc admission.
