College of Engineerig Pune   ( NIRF rank 49)is an autonomous engineering college affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. Established in 1854, it is one of the oldest engineering colleges in Asia. The College of Engineering in Pune has been accredited by the NBA (National Board of Accreditation). It takes in B.Tech lateral entry students and has 8 different streams for engineering. There are also B.Planning  and M.Tech  across 13 streams.

KIIT ( NIRF overall rank 16) is although a new one but emerging college with good brand value.

Both are equally good but you can choose the one which is cheaper and nearer to you.

For admission to MBA (or PGP) batch at IIM Sambalpur, the CAT test is usually conducted on November. Aspirants of IIM Sambalpur are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam is held in three slots:

Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM

Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

To apply for the CAT exam, candidates are required to create an account, fill the CAT registration form and pay the exam application fee. The CAT form have to be submitted before deadline after which no application will be accepted. The exam is usually conducted in November. Students are required to appear for the CAT exam in Computer Based Testing mode at allotted test centres. CAT exam for IIM Sambalpur admission is held in three slots.

Hostel accommodation will be provided to students of P.G/M.Phil and Ph.D programs depending upon availability of seats in the hostels But it's not compulsory to take the hostel. It is compulsory for boarders as well as guests to take their meal (lunch/dinner) only in the dining hall of the hostel. Sambalpur University has hostels for male students with single-seated rooms available for Rs. 800/- per annum and double-seated rooms available for Rs. 400/- per annum.

The hostel fee at Sambalpur University varies depending on the type of room and the hostel. Here are the details:

• For male students, the hostel fee is:
  • Single Seated Room: Rs. 800/- per annum
  • Double Seated Room: Rs. 400/- per annum
  • Establishment fee: Rs. 300/- per annum
  • Cultural fee: Rs. 300/- per annum
  • Hostel Caution money: Rs. 50/- 
• For female students, the hostel fee is:
  • Hostel fees: Rs. 2.7 K
  • Hostel Admission Fee: Rs. 5,000.00 (per annum) 
  • Energy Charges: Rs. 4,000 (per annum) 
  • Hostel Caution Money (Refundable): Rs. 2,000.00
  • Establishment fee: Rs. 1000/- per annum
  • Cultural fee: Rs. 300/- per annum 

The facilities available for students at Sambalpur University:

• The students get ample facilities in the university’s 670 acres of campus for overall development and growth.
• There is a canteen facility for students and staff and it serves nutritious and healthy food at a reasonable price.
• Accommodation is also provided by the university. There are separate hostels for boys and girls.
